Manifestations
This group of paintings just sort of manifested. Color, pattern, design and shape intertwine, twist and move togetter. Shape gives way to color, color to pattern, pattern to line, forming a visual fantasy. I like to work intuitively and allow the painting to emerge. Ideas quickly change as other ideas take over, becoming better or more interesting. The paint leads me where it wants to go. Painting to me is about discovery and spontaneity. I love how drips and spots become part of the design and how mistakes add depth and dimension.
